Brown (Univ. of Pennsylvania) and Muscari (SUNY at Binghamton) offer an excellent overall guide to adult forensics. They cover general forensic principles, and adults and elders as both victims and perpetrators of violence. The book discusses the special population of adults and elders with disabilities, and explains the criminal justice system. The authors address all types of intimate violence, elder abuse, stalking, and sexual assault. They explain investigation of adult deaths, providing information on scene investigation and forensic documentation. This book discusses the primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of a variety of crimes. It is a wonderful guide to adult and elder forensics, and an important reference for all health care providers who care for adults and the elderly. This volume, in combination with the authors' Quick Reference to Child and Adolescent Forensics (CH, Dec'10, 48-1816), makes a complete forensic reference set covering all age groups. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Lower-level undergraduates through professionals/practitioners; general audience. J. A. Gibson AT Still University
