Academic Librarianship Today
Todd Gilman taught literature and writing at the University of Toronto, Boston University, and MIT before embarking on a career in academic librarianship. Since 2001, he has served as Librarian for Literature in English at Yale University, where he builds humanities collections for Sterling Memorial Library and, as library liaison to various humanities departments, assists undergraduate and graduate students with their library research. Since 2004, Gilman has served as a part-time member of the faculty of the School of Information at San Jose State University, where be teaches graduate courses on academic libraries, reference, and book and library history.
