Ghosts of the Shadow Market
Cassandra Clare was born Judith Rumelt on July 27, 1973, in Teheran, Iran. After college, she lived in Los Angeles and New York where she worked at various entertainment magazines. She became a full-time author in 2006. Her first novel, City of Bones, was published in 2007 and received numerous awards including an American Library Association Teens Top Ten Award in 2008, the Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award in 2010, and the Pacific Northwest Library Association Young Reader's Choice Award in 2010. Her works include The Mortal Instruments series, the Infernal Devices trilogy, Geektastic: Stories from the Nerd Herd, the Magisterium series written with Holly Black, and The Dark Artifices series. Maureen Johnson is the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of many young adult novels, including the very murderous Shades of London series and the Stevie Bell mysteries: Truly Devious , The Vanishing Stair , The Hand on the Wall , and The Box in the Woods . She has also done collaborative works, such as Let It Snow with John Green and Lauren Myracle (now a movie on Netflix), and several books in the Shadowhunter universe with Cassandra Clare. Her books have been translated into more than thirty-five languages. For safety's sake, she lives in New York City; the vicar cannot reach her there. Jay Cooper 's books don't normally include grisly murders, nefarious deeds, or corpses of any kind.
