Boucher's (Revelation) latest challenges women to ask themselves if they're drinking too much. Following up this question with her own story of recovery, as well as other women's experiences, the author demonstrates that alcoholism is a disease that doesn't discriminate by income level, education, or gender. Throughout the narratives, Boucher weaves in facts about drug and alcohol abuse as well as the day-to-day challenges of early sobriety. Contrary to the thinking that women have to lose it all before making changes, she hopes that, by reading her book, women can recognize and deal with their potential alcoholism early on. VERDICT Boucher offers recognition, empathy, and hope for family and friends and all women who have struggled with addiction. Highly recommended. © Copyright 2017.
